I've been a little behind lately and so even though this project has been in the works for a while, I just haven't had the spare time to get around to it. It's finally finished and I can't wait to share it with you.
I teamed up with Miniatures.com for this and will link the products that I got from them (or similar) at the end of the post. I hope you'll enjoy my little scene as much as I enjoyed putting it together
This Wisteria is literally my favorite thing I've used so far on a house. It's so lush and realistic. I love the feeling of warmth that greenery adds to every day life, especially in miniature scale.
A garden hose is a "must" right? I purchased the garden hose kit but then added a little paint to the holder to age it, along with rust to the spout and nozzle of the hose. Then I added some paint to the hose iteself to make it look a little dirtier and more used.
I love these planters so much. Not only are they beautiful but you don't have to rust or age them yourself, they come this way. The flowers are actually just some garden growies too. Super easy and they turn out so pretty.
I love dirt spilling over in my miniature scenes. These are dried tea grounds and they look so nice. The size and coloring is perfect
The shake shingles are something I've been wanting to do for a while but only found paper that looked like shingles. I'm a fan of texture and dimension so I wanted to do it more realistically. I used 1/24 shingles since this is a 1/12 scale project to make the wall shingles and put them on one by one, layering accordingly. I love the way it turned out.
I hope you enjoyed your little stop by my Summer garden and all though I am not-so-secretly dreaming of Fall, this is still such a fun project to make. I love mini gardening. Maybe a good idea for a fairy garden too?
Have a wonderful week sweet friends xx Dani
